FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is the JEE Advanced and NEET programme really free?

Yes. Selected students receive the complete JEE Advanced or NEET preparation programme free of cost with support from KAP Foundation. The programme includes concept classes, tests, study material, doubt-solving support, personal mentorship and parent reviews. However, students applying through the Merit-cum-Scholarship Test need to pay ₹99 for each MST attempt.

Who can apply for the free JEE Advanced and NEET programme?

Students entering Class 11 in 2027 can apply for the two-year JEE Advanced or NEET preparation programme. In addition, a separate one-year batch is available for eligible droppers and repeaters. Applicants need to meet the programme requirements and then complete either the MST-based selection process or the applicable direct-admission process.

How are the 200 free JEE Advanced and NEET seats divided?

The programme offers a total of 200 free seats, with 100 seats for JEE Advanced preparation and 100 seats for NEET preparation. Since both programmes have different academic requirements, selection is carried out separately on the basis of merit and the applicable eligibility criteria.

Can I take the JEE/NEET Merit-cum-Scholarship Test more than once?

Yes. Students can appear for the Merit-cum-Scholarship Test on one, two or all three announced dates. If a student takes more than one MST, the best score among those attempts will be considered for merit. Therefore, students get an opportunity to improve their performance, although the ₹99 MST fee applies separately to each attempt.

Who is eligible for direct admission to the JEE or NEET droppers batch?

Eligible droppers may be considered for direct free admission without appearing for the MST. For JEE, students who have qualified JEE Main for JEE Advanced may apply through the direct-admission route. Similarly, NEET students who have scored more than 400 may be considered for direct admission. In both cases, admission is subject to verification of the official scorecard.

What does hybrid mode mean for JEE Advanced and NEET preparation?

Hybrid mode combines online learning with classroom-based academic support. Students may attend live online classes and access recorded sessions, while tests, mentoring, doubt-solving sessions and selected academic interactions may also be conducted in the classroom. As a result, students get the flexibility of online learning along with the structure and support of classroom preparation.

What happens if I am not selected for a free JEE or NEET seat?

If a student is not selected for one of the free seats, the MST score can still help them understand their current level of preparation. In addition, the result can indicate areas where stronger concept clarity, practice or test performance may be required. Therefore, the attempt can still serve as a useful benchmark for planning the next stage of JEE or NEET preparation.

Does paying ₹99 for the MST guarantee admission?

No. The ₹99 payment is only the fee for appearing in one Merit-cum-Scholarship Test attempt and does not guarantee admission. Free admission is offered only to students who qualify through the applicable merit, eligibility and counselling process. Therefore, payment of the MST fee should be understood as registration for the selection test, not as confirmation of a seat.
